The area is one of the most important wetlands in our country with rich birds and therefore attracts many visitors who are interested in waterfowl. The starting point of the route we suggest is located in Sagiada in the main settlement "Skaloma", its port. From there begins a dirt road that leads directly to the Delta.
Gitani (in the Doric dialect Gitana) was in antiquity one of the most important political, administrative and economic centers of Thesprotia. Ruins of the city are located on the slopes of Mount Brussels in a magnificent landscape in many ways, surrounded for the most part by the river Kalamas (Thyamis) which contributed greatly to the economic independence of the city. The foundation of the city dates back to the second half of the 4th c. BC, although habitation in the area has existed since prehistoric times.
The area of Perdika is a place particularly favored by nature, endless olive groves, endless beaches with blue waters make it unique. Inside the park are hosted many different species of birds, fish which have all the care and attention they deserve from the managers of the Park. Waterfalls and small bridges have been built that network the river as well as sidewalks with stairs made of tree trunks.

The only place to visit in Thesprotia today is located 9 km northwest of the city of Igoumenitsa. It is a small castle on a small conical hill, built in the 16th century as an observatory of Turkish movements in the area.
The Necromancer (20 km from Parga), where according to ancient Greek mythology, Charon (boatman - guide of the dead) led the souls, through Lake Acherousia to the underworld.
The ancient Nikopolis, built by the Romans in 27 BC with the ancient theater and the mosaics. It is 50 km from Parga and 7 km from the city of Preveza.
